“Good, bad and fabulous, disability is what it is” – a conversation about poverty & disability rights
You are invited to the CDLI Big Meet Up, Nov 4, 2017, to explore creative and proven ways of community building and to shape community development practice in Calgary.
Ice-breakers without Borders
Instead of the usual critical conversations around these subjects, the meet up took a more solutions focus tone hence the meet up title “Good, bad and fabulous, disability is what it is” – a title chosen by the Disability Action Hall members.
Connecting Syrian Youth and Families to Calgary Communities
For many people working with groups, in group settings or in community, ice-breakers (also energizers, activators, etc.) are often incorporated into their work and can play an important role.

On April 27, CDLI's meet-up focused on discussing how to support Syrian youth and families be more connected in Calgary through examining successful community examples and stories of connection/ engagement between Syrian residents and other Calgarians.
