For the May 30 meet up we will shift focus to a lighter, funner learning discussion on the usefulness of ice-breakers before resuming our series of discussions on community-centered approaches to challenging issues such as poverty and disability rights in June.
Topic: Ice-breakers without borders
WHEN: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 6:30pm to 8:30pm
WHERE: Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association (1320 5 Ave NW, Calgary)
WHO: Everyone welcomed.
When facilitating workshops, working in groups or working in community settings, ice-breakers can be very useful to include into any group activity. Even when there is no ‘ice to break’, group activities that build thrust or energise are just as useful.
For this meet up we will explore how and when to use ice-breakers/energizers, discuss what are appropriate ice-breakers and learn how to facilitate some fun examples.
It will be a lighter, funner meet up with just as much learning and reflection as usual. Don’t miss out on this interesting meet up topic. We look forward to seeing you on May 30.
Please RSVP by May 29, 2017 or phone Abbas, Project Lead 403-926-8624.
